Meetings are generally held at the
first Saturday of every month at the Art Institute Of California - San Diego.
We start at 12:00pm and continue to 3:00pm, Attendance & membership is free
and open to all interested. For directions page for location/map details just

SDPUG Members III exhibit reception will be right after the meeting at
3:30pm - 5:30 pm in the Art Institute of California's main gallery near the entrance. Please click on the "Directions" link to the left for specific directions. Come and support your fellow
members and see their personal visions in art.Refreshments will be served to go along with the great conversation.
Specifically using the Liquify
tool, puppet warp, warp and mixer brush, Brian will use both digital and analogue
techniques to take an illustration into and out of Photoshop and back
again to achieve a result that is both painterly and efficient.
About Brian Haberlin:
Brian Haberlin has been a
writer/illustrator for many years. He co-created the popular Witchblade
character as well a many other comic book titles. His work has been
included in multiple editions of Spectrum: The Best of Contemporary Fantastic
Art and he and his studios have won many awards in the comicbook industry. He
writes for 3d World Magazine and teaches at Minneapolis College of Art and
Design. And produces tutorials through his WWW.DIGITALARTTUTORIALS.COM .
Adobe has given us the ability to custom create simple 3D objects through
a new feature called Repousse.We will take
a tour of the interface and learn how you can create dynamic 3D logos for your
website, business cards, brochures or artwork.

He has discovered
the same passion for the digital medium as he has for photography as an art
form. His background began as a photographer 28 year ago and in time,
progressed toward the digital medium. His artistic influences include the great
Abstractionists & the Surrealists including Jackson Pollock, Wassily
Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Franz Kline, Mark Rothko, Mark Tobey, and Lenore
Fini, to name a few.
Stephen Burns has
been a corporate instructor and lecturer in the application of digital art and
design for the past 12 years. He has been exhibiting digital fine art
internationally at galleries such as Durban Art Museum in South Africa,
Citizens Gallery in Yokahama, Japan, and CECUT Museum Of Mexico to name a few.
