February 4th will be an all day SDPUG 2012 kickoff event.  First we will meet in front of MOPA(Museum of Photographic Art - 1649 El Prado San Diego, CA 92101) at 9:30 am to have a free Panoramic meetup photo shoot in Balboa park led by Lee Peterson (http://www.leepetersonphotography.com/main.html)  and myself.  You will be instructed on the proper use of the Really Right Stuff pano system for the optimal panoramic image.

We will then meet at the Art Institute of California-Sand Diego at 1pm to share how to use Photoshop and 3rd party software to merge your images for the best panoramic result.

Presenter 1:  Digital Panoramic Workflow by Lee Peterson (www.leepetersonphotography.com)

Lee Peterson will share about the proper equipment to use as well as how to set your camera for successful panoramic digital images.  We will also have a full Photoshop presentation on how to merge your images together for the best results.

Presenter 2: Painting Expressively from Photographs using Photoshop CS5!- by Jack Davis

Can you REALLY paint traditional media convincingly and EXPRESSIVELY in Photoshop? Where you almost smell the paint and feel the gestures? And do it without having to have the gifts of a Van Gogh? Absolutely YES! To expressively paint, where your emotion, as well as your mind, get to come out and play, is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Especially when you can use your own photography as the Source…. annnnnd Jack’s very unique and Brand New Mixer Brush Actions and Brushes (that he will give to each in attendance) that will do all the laborious set up for you - you “just” Clone your masterpiece into a work of art - from oils, to watercolors or even pastels!
