I was born in London. My hobbies were in the arts but was trained in the Sciences and have a Masters Degree in Geology. I started my photography career as a research chemist for Kodak in London and late taught Chemical Process Control to the Motion Picture Industry. I was the UK champion and record holder in the high jump and represented Britain internationally for 14 years. My father and I were in the Guiness Book of World records when I threw a raw egg to him 115 yards and he caught it intact. For eight years I was head of Department in Salisbury teaching documentary film production. I came to the USA to write articles about Paul Caponigro and Ansel Adams. In 1979,. I taught Commecial Photography at Cal Poly and started my own portrait business in San Diego.. I give programs on Digital Photography and am sponsored by Fuji.
